As part of HID Global’s Networked Access Solutions, each Network controller offers the capability to connect anywhere from 2 to up to 64 reader doors using a single IP address. Both controllers handle all online door decisions, door input monitoring, and output control connecting to Avigilon’s Access Control Manager (ACM).

HID VertX Interface & I/O Modules

The HID Global VertX® high-performance interface and I/O modules communicate through a high-speed RS-485 network using industry-standard TCP/IP protocol over 10/100 Mbps Ethernet or the Internet to Avigilon’s Access Control Manager (ACM). Whether interfacing with process equipment such as HVAC or video switchers, or expanding the door/reader capacity to meet project requirements, the VertX line has the versatility needed for sending access information to any of the two available network controllers.

Mercury’s intelligent system controllers are a powerful solution for managing anywhere from seventeen (17) to sixty-four (64) readers with the Avigilon™ Access Control Manager (ACM)™ system. With the flexibility to meet many installation environments, Mercury controllers communicate using PoE or RS-485 and expand I/O and readers by simply adding input, output, and reader interface modules.

Mercury’s interface modules are low cost, high-performance devices that provide all the I/O needed for managing multiple controlled openings with auxiliary point control and monitoring. ASSA ABLOY Aperio

Wireless Lock Solution

The Avigilon ACM system utilizes ASSA ABLOY Aperio® Wireless Technology to reduce the cost and inconvenience of wiring in and around the access door. The Aperio solution can support a wide range of applications, including interior office room doors, server room cabinets and storage lockers, glass, stone or brick entryways, slim aluminum entry doors, and more.

Aperio wireless locks communicate over a secured 2.4 GHz band to an Aperio communications hub. Each hub allows a wireless connection of up to eight Aperio wireless locks. This solution uses three variants of Mercury hardware controllers that connect over RS-485 to the Aperio hub.

Wireless Locks

Managed with ACM system from Avigilon, the Schlage LE wireless mortise lock with ENGAGE technology is designed to affordably extend electronic access control deeper into the building beyond the traditional perimeter and high-security openings. LE wireless locks simplify installation by combining the lock, credential reader, door position sensor, and request-to-exit switch all in one unit.

Schlage NDE Series

Wireless Locks

NDE Series Wireless Locks Schlage NDE wireless locks communicate over a secured 2.4 GHz Bluetooth 4.0 connection to the ENGAGE gateway. Each gateway supports up to ten NDE or LE series wireless locks. The ENGAGE gateway provides real-time communication to the ACM software to monitor the condition of each wireless access door. Each gateway communicates over RS-485 to the Mercury controller.

Allegion AD-400

Wireless Lock Solution

Schlage® wireless locks communicate over a secured 900 MHz band to a panel interface module that acts as the gateway between the Mercury hardware and the wireless lock. Each Panel Interface Module (PIM) allows a wireless connection of up to 16 AD-400 wireless locks. This solution uses two variants of Mercury hardware controllers that connect over RS-485 to the Schlage PIM.

LifeSafety Power

Power Supplies and Enclosures

The Avigilon power enclosure from LifeSafety Power includes all the power needed for up to 16-door applications. These enclosures are specifically designed to house Mercury Security and HID VertX® access boards and also includes a separate 24 volt DC circuit that provides lock power within the same enclosure, saving the cost of added hardware and installation time.
